BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Baku's trade turnover volume amounted to 13.005 billion manat ($7.6 billion) from January through June 2022, growing by 4.6 percent compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports referring to the Baku City Statistics Department.
In the reporting period, sales of food, beverages and tobacco products in the Baku trade network reached 7.779 billion manat ($4.58 billion), increasing by 15.1 percent against the same period of 2021.
The non-food product sales decreased by 7.5 percent, totaling 4.988 billion manat ($2.9 billion).
According to the department, 36.1 percent of the sold products fell on public legal entity enterprises, 46.7 percent – on trade facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 17.2 percent – on Baku's markets.
