Türkiye sees minor decrease in chemical exports for 4M2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. Türkiye's chemical exports decreased by 10 percent to $9.8 billion from January through April 2023 compared to the same period last year, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

"In April of this year, Türkiye exported chemical products worth $2.4 billion, which is 27.7 percent less than in April last year," the ministry said.

From April 2022 through April 2023, the country exported chemical products worth $32.4 billion.

Meanwhile, the total value of chemical exports from the country equaled $7.4 billion from January through March 2023, decreasing by 2.2 percent on an annual basis.

Moreover, Türkiye exported chemicals worth $2.9 billion in March 2023, which is 4.9 percent less compared to the same month in 2022.

The country exported $33.4 billion worth of chemicals from March 2022 through March 2023.
