BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli on the sidelines of COP29, Trend reports, citing the ministry.
The meeting discussed projects implemented within the framework of joint activities with the company, cooperation to improve productivity and production efficiency using innovative approaches and modern technologies. Sustainable business solutions, emissions reduction activities and partnerships towards decarbonization were discussed.
The parties stressed the importance of effectively using our country's rich potential in the field of "green" energy, organizing climate activities according to international standards and increasing investment in renewable energy. In this regard, the promotion of energy transition and the company's contribution to the "green" future of Azerbaijan, as well as prospects for developing partnership with SOCAR, were discussed.
