Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 July / corr Trend E.Ismayilov / As of initial of calculations, the budget of a project on construction of a bridge in Baku bay area is $1.2-1.3bln, Musa Panahov, the Azerbaijani Transport deputy minister, said. The Korean government will allocate grant to implement the project.
"At present talks are underway and as a result the Korean company should present a feasibility study and initial design of the project," Panahov said.
The length of sea section of the bridge is 14km. Over 5 years it is planned to complete the construction work. The project will not use Azerbaijani capital, as the construction and commissioning of the bridge will be carried out by the producer company.
The bridge is designed to connect two ends of Baku bay (in Bailovo and Zykh villages of Baku) and promote to unload the transport infrastructure of the capital city.
