The International Bank of Azerbaijan headed five banks-leaders of exchange currency market as a result of currency section auction on USD/AZN_TOD at Baku's inter-bank currency exchange in May in accordance with concluded deals, exchange said on June 1.
Leading dealers of organized currency market includes joint stock commercial banks ASB, Unibank, Texnika Bank and Bank Standard CJSC. There is a list of banks - leading operators of exchange of May 2009:

Roughly 19 banks participated in BBVB currency section auction in May 2009. Roughly 38 trade sessions were carried out in accounting month in exchange E-system of auction. Roughly 66 deals were registered.
Total amount of currency section auction on USD/AZN in accounting month hit 77.989 million manat or $97.055 million. Turnover on Swap_USD/AZN hit 27.525 million manat or $34.2 million.
Average rate of U.S dollar to manat hit 0.8048 manat.
Turnover on EUR/AZN is 0.161 million manat.
Total amount of auction in currency section was three times less in accounting month compared to April.
Average turnover hit $5.108 million in exchange E-system of USD/AZN auction per day. Average amount of each deal hit $1.471 million.
Exchange rate of national currency on USD/AZN_TOD in accounting month hit 0.12 percent - from 0.8029 to 0.8019 manat to $1. Average rate of U.S dollar to manat hit 0.8029 manat per 1 USD to 0.8027 manat.
On June 1, the official exchange rate is 0.8035 manat to $1.
