The average prices of construction materials at the Baku market fall by 5.1 percent in April compared to March, the public organization Participants of Real Property said. The prices fall by 10.8 percent as for early year compared to 49.5 percent of 2008.
The monitoring was held on 38 units and 87 varieties of construction materials, out of which a decrease was observed on 36 units and prices remained stable on 51 units. No increase of prices of construction materials has been observed.
Cement prices have dropped twice in Azerbaijan. This has lead to the reduction of expenses in the construction sector.
The local material construction hit 52.9 percent at the market.
