Great Britain continues to keep leading positions on amount of investments to Azerbaijan

Great Britain continues to keep leading positions on volume of investments to Azerbaijan. Weight of the country in volume of foreign investments hit 47.3 percent in August, state statistical committee said. British investments hit 386.18 million manat.  

In August, roughly 85.9 percent (701 million manat) of investments of foreign countries and the international organizations to the Azerbaijani economy fall on share of investors from great Britain, the USA, Japan, Norway, France, Czech Republic and Turkey.  

U.S investments hit 130.76 million manat (weight 16 percent), Japanese - 68.4 million manat (8.4 percent), Norwegian - 42.6 million manat (5.2 percent), Turkish - 33.8 million manat (4.2 percent), French - 26.3 million manat (3.2 percent), and Czech - 12.85 million manat (1.6 percent), Korean - 6.19 million manat (0.8 percent), UAE - 2.68 million manat (0.3 percent), Saudi Arabia - 1.14 million manat (0.1 percent), Austrian - 1.64 million manat (0.2 percent), Swedish - 9.39 million manat (1.2 percent), Italian - 402,000 manat, German - 0,500 manat, Kazakh - 2.26 million manat (0.3 percent).

The biggest volume of investments was allocated by WB to the amount of 54.2 million manat given weight of 6.6 percent.

Asian Development Bank allocated 22.22 million manat (2.7 percent), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 9.05 million manat (1.1 percent), Islamic Development Bank - 2.26 million manat (0.3 percent), Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development - 3.65 million manat (0.5 percent) to realize projects in Azerbaijan.

On Sept. 16, the official exchange rate is 0.8033 manat to $1.
