Azerbaijan, Baku, July 1 / Trend E. Ismayilov /

By the end of this week, CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" will restore the movement of trains on the route Baku-Astara. It was stopped because the water level in the river Kura raised May 9, a source at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport said.

"Restoration work still continues. But until the end of this week, the movement of trains in the south can be restored, but with a speed limit," the source said.

He said that it will take for two or three months for the full restoration of railway movement in the southern direction without speed limits. "It is necessary to work for a few more months for a full operation of trains," a source said.

Moreover, as a result of flooding, about 23 kilometers of roadway subsided.
