Georgia intends to place 10-15 percent of the Georgian National Energy Company’s securities on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Georgian prime minister's spokesman, Nikoloz Mchedlishvili, told Trend today.

Georgia intends to place 10-15 percent of the Georgian National Energy Company's securities on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Georgian prime minister's spokesman, Nikoloz Mchedlishvili, told Trend today.

According to the spokesman, the PM held introductory meetings with the leadership of the Shanghai Stock Exchange during his visit to China.

According to Mchedlishvili, the PM briefed them on the prospective securities that may be placed on the Shanghai, London and other stock exchanges.

"Georgia may place 10-15 percent of the securities on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, but not 50 percent, as reported by some Georgian media outlets," Mchedlishvili said.
