Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed a decree to purchase two aircrafts of Boeing-777-200LR brand, an official Turkmen source said on Saturday.
The deal will be concluded between the Sate National Service "Turkmen Hova Yullari" (Turkmen Airlines) and Boeing (USA).
The national air carrier, "Turkmen Hova Yullari" (Turkmen Airlines) actively uses Boeing aircrafts for international and domestic flights, outdated Soviet-type aircrafts were put up for sale.
Berdimuhamedov recently received Boeing director for sales to Central Asia and Europe Serdar Gurz. During the meeting, he approved a long-term plan of bilateral cooperation with the company Boeing, which was submitted for consideration.
Turkmenistan is interested in establishing relations also in the sphere of service and training of skilful staff for the country's civil aviation on the basis of Boeing.
At present, "Turkmen Hova Yullari" carries out flights to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Britain, Turkey, UAE, Germany, Thailand, China, India and other countries.
