First new compulsory insurance premiums for passengers collected in Azerbaijan

Charges on compulsory insurance amounted to 39.048 million manat in Azerbaijan in January-April, increasing by 2.08 times for the year, and their share in the total fees increased from 28.28 to 33.73 percent. The payments for these types of insurance increased by 7.61 percent compared to January-April last year to 3.138 million manat.

It is stated in the report of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan on the activities of insurance companies in January-April 2012, published on Monday.

Companies in the Office of compulsory insurance, which have the right to engage in these species, collected 19.97 million manat on CTP in January-April of, which exceeds the figure for the same period of 2011 by 13.87 percent.

In general, 51.15 per cent of fees for compulsory insurance and 17.25 percent of all premiums collected in the market during this period accounts for the insurance on CTP in January-April.

Insurance companies have collected 2.18 million manat, 94.84 thousand manat, 31.44 thousand manat on compulsory insurance of immovable property, civil liability in the operation of real estate and CTP.

There are 28 insurance companies in Azerbaijan.
