One billion shares, preferred stocks traded at Tehran stock exchange

Last week more than a billion shares and preferred stocks worth nearly $187 million were traded at the Tehran Stock Exchange.
Since the beginning of the Iranian year on March 20, more than 16.8 billion shares and preferred stocks worth $3.5 billion have been bought and sold at the Exchange, the IRIB news website reports.
More than 431,000 buyers have been active at the Exchange. On the final day of trading last week, the total index stood at 25,388 units. The price and cash dividends index recorded 103,293 units.
Last week around 111,825 bonds were exchanged at the Tehran Stock Exchange. The participation bonds were worth $9 million. Since the start of Iran's year, a little more than 333,000 participation bonds have been purchased.
