Azerbaijan’s Sabirabad Canning OJSC plans to increase exports of pomegranate juice to Baltic countries, a source in the company told Trend.

The supplies are provided for the markets of Latvia and Estonia, according to the source.

“There is a great demand for the products of our plant in the Baltic market, and a strong customer base is formed there,” the source noted. “Therefore, we plan further cooperation with the Baltic states and intend to extend the export contract, the terms of which will expire by the end of this year.”

The source added that the production capacity of the plant is 10 million bottles annually.

“We are able to increase these volumes to 12 or more millions of bottles on the basis of orders,” the source said. “All our products are exported. In addition to pomegranate juice, we also export narsharab (pomegranate sauce), and small volumes of aseptic pomegranate concentrate.”

The Sabirabad Canning has been operating since 1982. The Italian and Moldavian equipment has been installed at the plant.
