Iran to reinstated several mines

TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 20

Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Babak Dinparast announced the activation of 4,500 inactive mines which will lead to direct and indirect employment of 888,000 people.

98th meeting of the production facilitation and removal of barriers has been held today with the presence of the representatives of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and the Central Bank, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

“The latest status of the implementation of the President's orders for the reactivation of 2,000 production units will be presented in a joint report of the Ministry of Economy and CBI,” Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Babak Dinparast said referring to the meeting`s agenda.

Dinparast said that the process of revitalization of about 4,500 inactive mines out of 10,000 mines in the country is on the agenda of the 98th meeting of the headquarters for facilitating and removing barriers to production.

He went on to say that with the revival of 1,500 stagnant industrial units by the end of the current Iranian year (end on March 21, 2021), over 27,000 people will be employed.

"Also, with the activation of 4500 inactive mines, we will have the creation of 888,000 jobs, of which 111,000 will be direct employment,"
