The activities of 147 small mines were restored in Iran during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020), said Abbas Naimi, Deputy Chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Trend reports citing IMIDRO.
Naimi emphasized that 66 mines were restored completely, and 83 mines were restored partially.
The deputy chairman added that the activities of 293 small mines have been restored in total since the beginning of last Iranian year (March 21, 2019).
“As many as 2,800 mines were researched since the beginning of last Iranian year, and certain work has already started in some 1,210 mines,” he noted.
Naimi said that within 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), 672 small mines were researched in Iran, and work in 194 of them has started.
