Amount of industrial enterprises launched in Iran's Hamadan soars

The number of enterprises put into operation in the industrial sector of Iran's Hamadan Province increased by 51 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman for Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Hamadan Province, Hamid Reza Matin said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

Over the reporting period, 56 industrial enterprises were put into operation in the province, the chairman stressed.

Matin added that the private sector and the state have invested about 10.9 trillion rials (about $258 million) to the launch of these enterprises.

According to him, 1,430 people were employed with the launch of these enterprises.

The chairman noted that while in the same period last Iranian year, 37 enterprises were put into operation with an investment of 926 billion rials (about $22 million).

“Furthermore, 601 people were employed in the same period last Iranian year with the launch of enterprises,” he said.

Matin emphasized 821 enterprises were licensed to establish in Iran in the current Iranian year. About 61.3 trillion (about $1.46 billion) worth of funds are needed to launch of these enterprises. As many as 11,200 people will be employed with the launch of these enterprises.

A total of 1,040 industrial enterprises are currently operating in Iran's Hamadan Province.
