Kazakhstan's TOP-3 trade partners for 7M2021 announced

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover has amounted to $53.6 billion over the period from January through July 2021, which indicates an increase as compared to $49.8 billion during the same period last year, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The largest share of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade over the reporting period accounted for Russia with $12.7 billion in trade, which is 26.6 percent more than $10.06 billion over the same period of 2020. Russia accounted for 23.7 percent of Kazakhstan’s total foreign trade during the reporting period of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s export to Russia amounted to $3.8 billion ($2.6 billion over the 7M2020), whereas imports equaled $8.8 billion ($7.4 billion over 7M2020)

Russia is followed by China with a share of 18.2 percent in the total foreign trade turnover. China’s trade with Kazakhstan grew by 7.3 percent year-on-year from $9.1 billion over the first seven months of 2020 to $9.7 billion in the same period of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s export to China amounted to $5.4 billion ($5.7 billion over 7M2020), whereas imports amounted to $4.3 billion ($3.3 billion over 7M2020).

The third-largest trade partner of Kazakhstan was Italy with $4.8 billion in trade, which is 4.3 percent more than $4.6 billion over the same period of 2020. Italy accounted for 9 percent of Kazakhstan’s total foreign trade during the reporting period of 2021.

Kazakhstan's export to Italy stood at $4.3 billion ($4.1 billion over 7M2020), whereas imports equaled $458.6 million ($507.1 million over 7M2020).
