TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 1
Trend:
Iran announced the clearance of over 1,000 imported European trucks from customs since last Iranian year (ended on March 21, 2020).
“There are 3600 imported trucks which are stuck in Iranian customs warehouses,” head of Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, Daryoush Amani told Trend.
He went on to say that the clearance process of European trucks has been accelerated after Iran's Judiciary order.
“Before the Judiciary`s order, the customs clearance process was slower than expected performance,” he said.
Amani said out of 4,200 European imported trucks at customs, 1,000 trucks are cleared.
On September 29, Iran's Judiciary granted permission for customs clearance of imported European trucks by October 22.
