BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. The establishment of a joint industrial park and a railway logistics terminal between Iran and Azerbaijan in the Parsabad County of Iran’s Ardabil Province is on the agenda of both countries, a member of the Iranian parliament's committee on agriculture, water, natural resources, and the environment, Abbas Jahangirzadeh told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.
The MP said that the establishment of a joint industrial park and a railway logistics terminal between the two countries have many advantages.
“For this reason, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev instructed the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Republic to put the construction of the Imishli-Parsabad railway on the agenda,” he added.
According to Jahangirzadeh, with the establishment of the industrial park and railway terminal, it will be possible to increase exports to Russia, the Caucasus, and other countries.
In addition, new jobs will be created in the industrial park, the MP noted.
