BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Iran’s non-oil exports through Mehran customs in the Ilam Province (western Iran), increased by 57 percent in value and 73 percent in volume, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Ilam Province Customs Office Rouhollah Gholami told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to the director general, a total of 1.58 million tons of goods worth $734 million were exported to Iraq and other countries through Mehran customs in 6 months.

Gholami added that the exported goods were mainly construction materials, fruits, and vegetables, rubber products, industrial and metal products, household appliances, etc.

“Over 6 months, 142,000 tons of agricultural products worth $47 million were exported through Mehran customs,” he said.

Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), $1.16 billion worth of non-oil products were exported through Mehran customs, the customs official noted.
