The approval of National Action Plan within European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) is expected in November in Brussels at the session of CE-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council, said Asker Alekperov, executive director of TACIS, adding that European commission and government of Azerbaijan completely agreed on economic, political, transport and energy parts of the plan.
В"Not awaiting the national action plan approval, we launched work in July on indicative program for the years 2007-2010. The government was submitted some proposalsВ", said Alekperov. Although the future year budget of the program has not been approved yet, Alekperov considers it higher than that for 2006 with its E 22mln. Amount of technical assistance for the year 2007 will be defined upon agreement on financial memorandum that has not been submitted to CE yet.
Funding of programs within ENP is starting in 2007 under two programs: TACIS and MEDA. ENP budget for the years 2007-2013 is scheduled in amount E 15bn,
