Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova / The State Statistics Committee reported that construction work costing AZN 1.764bln was carried out between January-July 2007, which is 17.8% more as compared to the same period in 2006. State enterprises invested some AZN 369mln and private enterprises AZN 892mln into the construction sector. Some AZN 994mln was invested into new constructions, and AZN 157mln in repairs of which AZN 51.1% was invested in ongoing repairs, and AZN 59.1% in other construction work. Construction workers earned a total of AZN 352mln in wages which is 14.1% more as compared to the same period in 2006.
