The Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) shipped roughly 574,000 tons of cargo in 2008, or 123,600 tons more than the projected figure.
A total of 106 million manat accounted for marine services, compared to a projected 91 million manat. The fleet's revenue hit 44 million manat for the year.
Presently, the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet has 202 ships.
Eighty-seven ships were repaired in 2008. Thirty-two ships are currently undergoing repairs.
The fleet's cargo capacity was 85,447.6 tons in 2008. The fleet has 263 ships and 7 docks.
On Feb. 20, the official exchange rate is 0.8062 manat to $1.
