Regulation of prices within first stage of development of Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate field, Shah Deniz, determination of volumes within the second stage of development of this field, as well as transit of Azerbaijani gas through Turkey will be discussed during Turkish Energy Minister, Taner Yildiz's visit to Azerbaijan, Turkish news agency, Anadolu, said with reference to Turkish Energy Minister.
Yildiz arrived in Azerbaijan after agreements within Nabucco gas pipeline and cooperation with Russia in energy (in particular, South stream gas pipeline project) were signed.
"I hope that negotiations will be successful. Issue on gas for Turkey will be discussed for 2015-2016. It is still unknown whether any agreement will be signed within the visit, we will negotiate," Yıldız said.
At present, Azerbaijani gas is supplied to Turkey at a price of $120 per 1,000 cubic meters. However, cost of gas for consumers on Turkish domestic market hits $380 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Upon the contract, Turkey must get 6.6 billion cubic meters of gas from Shah Deniz field within the first stage of project development. Project partners will reach this volume of supply in 2009.
The contract on exploitation of Shah Deniz offshore field was signed on June 4, 1996. Participants of the agreement include BP (operator) - 25.5 percent, Statoil Hydro - 25.5 percent, NICO - 10 percent, Total - 10 percent, LukAgip - 10 percent, TPAO - 9 percent, SOCAR- 10 percent.
