SOCAR conducts operations to prevent water and air pollution in Caspian Sea’s fields

In January-June Complex Drilling Operations department "Bayil Limani" of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has taken 280 tons of sludge formed during drilling for processing to the waste center, the SOCAR’s Ecology Department said today.

In January-June Complex Drilling Operations department "Bayil Limani" of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has taken 280 tons of sludge formed during drilling for processing to the waste center, the SOCAR's Ecology Department said today.

Also in accordance with the plan of actions coordinated with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Department conducts the necessary works to prevent water and air pollution in the zone of the Caspian Sea, where the drilling operations are conducted.

Bayil Limani Department enters the SOCAR's Complex Drilling Operations Trust. The Department conducts drilling operations in such a complex offshore fields, as "Guneshli" (shallow part), "Oil Rocks" and "Alat-Deniz".

There are 59 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan. About 8 are offshore, others - onshore.
