Azerbaijan is an important guarantee of Georgia's energy security, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said at a press-conference.
"Azerbaijan is one of the main strategic partners of Georgia, in particular, in ensuring the energy security of the country. Azerbaijan is the main supplier of gas and other energy resources to Georgia. It greatly contributes to the stability of our country," he said.
He said that the two countries have "good and fruitful" relations and they should be supported and developed.
Gilauri expressed particular satisfaction with the increase of Azerbaijani investments to Georgia. "I would like to note SOCAR, which invests significant funds to Georgia's economy," Gilauri said.
He expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations between the two countries. He noted that the economic, political and cultural ties between the two brotherly peoples are developing well.
