Azerbaijan produced approximately 4.1 million tons of crude oil and condensate in January 2011, or 3.8 percent less than the oil and condensate production in January 2010, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
Roughly 50.83 million tons of oil were extracted in Azerbaijan in 2010.
The main oil production last year fell to the block of oil and gas fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" and gas condensate field Shah Deniz, developed jointly with foreign partners.
Gas production hit 2.04 billion cubic meters in Azerbaijan in January 2011 or 10.7 percent less than in January 2010.
Roughly 26.23 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted last year. Roughly 16.67 billion fell to tank gas.
Azerbaijan produced 1,86 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January, or 0.5 percent less than in January 2009.
