SOCAR Energy Ukraine (a subsidiary of Azerbaijani SOCAR) supplied Defense Ministry of Ukraine with nearly 12,000 tons of jet fuel as part of tenders it won, a source in the oil and gas market of Azerbaijan told Trend on Feb. 14.
According to the source, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine bought 170,000 tons of oil products last year, including 42,000 tons of jet fuel.
“SOCAR supplied Ukrainian Defense Ministry with 11,900 tons of jet fuel. That accounts for 7 percent of total petrochemicals supply to the ministry and more than 28 percent of jet fuel supply,” the source added.
SOCAR is represented by SOCAR Energy Ukraine and owns a network of 60 fuel stations in Ukraine.
