Gas production in Azerbaijan stood at 16.92 billion cubic meters in 2017, which is 3.3 percent less than in 2016, reads the OPEC annual statistical report.
Proven gas reserves in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.277 trillion cubic meters in early 2018, according to the report.
Azerbaijan’s gas exports grew 0.9 percent to 7.69 billion cubic meters in 2017, according to the report. This is while the demand for gas in Azerbaijan amounted to 8.324 billion cubic meters last year.
The gas produced in Azerbaijan mainly accounts for the Shah Deniz field, reserves of which are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas.
