French SUEZ Group is ready to make products in Azerbaijan for oil and gas industry, the company told Trend.
“SUEZ is also a major player in the field of chemicals and services for industrial water treatment. SUEZ products are already used by entities and subsidiaries of SOCAR. Some oil and gas producers and other industries, such as mining, may be interested in high quality and effective products, which improve their process and performances. According to these activities, the Group may produce the products in the country and use a facility as a hub for this regional area,” said the company.
Further, SUEZ said its goals are to develop its presence in the country and to offer its expertise in waste collection and treatment to other regions of Azerbaijan.
“As a result, SUEZ is also looking for local and international partners to address the challenges of the depollution of the Absheron Peninsula,” said the company.
SUEZ said that with the support of the French government, it also implemented two feasibility studies targeted to reduce water losses in a pilot area of Baku, and also to optimize and use the sludge produced by Baku’s main wastewater treatment plant.
“In addition, SUEZ provides its expertise and technical assistance to the City of Baku regarding municipal waste collection,” the company said.
