Large water, electricity projects commissioned in Tehran province of Iran

Four water and electricity objects were commissioned in Tehran province of Iran, Trend reports on April 16 citing Ministry of Energy.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian and other high-rank officials joined to the inauguration ceremony via video conference.

About 28 trillion rials (about $666 million) has been invested in one power plant and three sewage filter centers in Tehran province, the report said.

As many as 25.6 trillion rials (about $609 million) of this investment was made by the private sector and the remaining funds were allocated by the government.

Private sector provided 2.1 trillion rials (about $50 million) for the construction of the Malard sewer filter center and 1.2 trillion rials (about $28.5 million) funds for the construction of the Safadasht sewage filter center. Meanwhile, 1.2 trillion rials (about $28.5 million) were provided by the state for the Eslamshahr sewage filter center.

According to the ministry, 23.5 trillion rials (about $559 million) has been invested in the construction of the 3rd phase of the Parand Thermal Power Plant. As reported, 160 megawatts of electricity will be generated in this phase. Construction of this phase began in 2015 by MAPNA Group.

MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power plants, oil and gas.
