Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery to increase oil refining depth

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries will increase the depth of oil refining from 86 percent to 92 percent, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gas electronic newspaper.

This was stated by Dovran Chishiyev, General Director of Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, during XXV “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” international conference organized by Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas and Turkmennebit State Concerns in partnership with Turkmen Forum.

The increase in depth will put the complex on a par with the world leaders in oil refining.

The launch of a new delayed coking and tar deasphalting unit at the complex will help to increase the oil refining coefficient.

The further introduction of new technologies in the framework of the modernization of the complex is aimed at a complete transition to the development of environmentally friendly motor gasoline and diesel fuel that meets the Euro 5 standard.

The digital transformation of its production is also continuing – systems for collecting, processing, displaying, and archiving information about monitoring and management objects are being introduced.

As reported, Turkmenistan has exceeded expectations of oil and gas condensate production from January through September 2020.

The estimates of oil and gas condensate production were exceeded by 1.7 percent, oil refining – by 2.6 percent, gasoline production – by 6.8 percent, diesel fuel production – by 6.9 percent, kerosene production – 0.3, and liquefied gas - 23.6 percent.
