Iran’s NISOC opens tender for petroleum reservoir

A tender will be held for the 1st and 2nd petroleum reservoirs of the Gachsaran oil field, which are the last petroleum reservoirs of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) to maintain and increase the extraction from 28 petroleum reservoirs, the Technical Director of NISOC Sadegh Fatollahi said, Trend reports referring to the company's website.

According to him, the company accepts proposals from contractors companies for exploration and extraction on the mentioned petroleum reservoirs.

“The drilling of 6 new wells, repairing of 21 existing wells, carrying out several repair operations on wells and pipes, etc. are envisaged in the tender,” the director added.

Fatollahi noted that the value of the contract that will be signed in tender will 72 million euros. The contract will be implemented for 24 months.

It is planned to sign 27 contracts on the maintain and increase extraction of 28 oil reservoirs of the National Iranian South Oil Company. The total value of these contracts is estimated at $4.6 billion. The goal is to extract about 600,000 barrels of oil daily.
