Azerbaijan increases gas production at ACG, Shah Deniz fields

Azerbaijan has slightly increased gas production at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields and Shah Deniz field from January to July 2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

According to the ministry, in the shown period, 24.1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in the country, of which 7.5 billion accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, and 12 billion cubic meters - Shah Deniz field, up by 7.8 percent compared to the first seven months of 2020.

Meanwhile, gas production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to 4.6 billion cubic meters.

The production figures for ACG and Shah Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, were also specified.

Some 334 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced at ACG and Shah Deniz since the beginning of the operation and until August 1, 2021.

Thus, 184 billion cubic meters were produced at ACG while 147 billion cubic meters at Shah Deniz as of the reporting date.
