Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan / Trend corr E.Mammadov / Gas lines were provided for 62,000 flats in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), while gas was supplied to 40,878 flats.
The Director of Nakhchivangaz OJSC, Sakhavat Abbasov, reported on 20 August that the work to lay the gas pipes to 80 villages of NAR was in progress. It is planned to lay gas lines to 10,000 apartments by the end of the year. A total number of apartments expecting to be provided with gas is 72,000.
According to Abbasov, supplies of natural gas to NAR have made up 94,541,806,000 cu m so far.
Notably, after a 15-year break supplies of gas to NAR were restored on 20 December 2005.
