The Head of the Planning and Budget Organization of Iran has warned that the illusions of some people about the sanctions should be dismissed.

Referring to the psychological warfare that created by the US sanctions, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, told ILNA that the illusions about the sanctions in Iran will create problems in the future.

“The expression of such illusions would make the perception of the future negative in the minds of the people and bring them to store the currency and goods,” he explained.

He then spoke about the inflation in the country.

"The first thing to control inflation is to consider the increasing demands. We need to control the existing liquidity,” Nobakht said.

"The next discussion is the increase in production costs, which we must control it.”

The US sanctions imposed against Iran on November 5 are aimed at the heart of the Islamic Republic's economy, oil. They also target shipping, banks, and financial entities that enable Iran's oil trade.

But still eight countries have been given a six-month waiver to trade with Iran: China, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Greece, Italy, Japan and Turkey.
