As at August 1, 2019, the value of assets on the current accounts in the banks of Kazakhstan amounted to 4.891 trillion tenge, Trend reports with reference to the data of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Over 3.863 trillion tenge of the sum are accounts of legal persons, including 1.867 trillion tenge of the tenge denominated accounts and 1.996 trillion tenge of the foreign currency denominated accounts.
“The largest value of the assets on the current accounts of legal persons is observed in Almaty city (774.777 billion tenge of assets denominated in tenge and 1.065 trillion tenge of assets denominated in foreign currency). In turn, the least value of the assets of the current accounts of the legal persons is observed in Turkestan region (9.280 billion tenge of assets denominated in tenge) and Almaty region (4.118 billion tenge of foreign currency denominated assets).
The sum of 801.640 billion tenge accounts for tenge denominated current accounts of physical persons and another 225.933 billion tenge account for foreign currency denominated current accounts of physical persons. Just like in the case with legal persons’ accounts, the largest value of physical persons’ current accounts is observed in Almaty city (468.899 billion tenge of assets denominated in tenge and 154.408 billion tenge of assets denominated in foreign currency).
In turn, the least amount of physical persons’ current accounts is observed in Turkestan region (6.810 billion tenge in national currency and 556 million tenge in foreign currency).
