It is envisaged to collect 1 quadrillion rials (about $23.8 billion) in taxes in Iran’s Tehran Province in the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 - March 21, 2021), director of Iranian National Tax Administration’s branch in Tehran Province Mohammad Reza Nouri told journalists, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Nouri emphasized that in total, Iran is expected to collect 1.8 trillion rials (about $42.8 billion) in taxes in the current Iranian year.
Nouri added that Iran collected worth of 1.41 trillion rials (about $33.5 billion) in taxes in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). About 56 percent of it is provided through Tehran Province.
The director noted that a total of 800 trillion rials (about $19 billion) was paid in taxes in Tehran Province in the last Iranian year.
"The planned taxes in Tehran Province in the last Iranian year were paid in full," he said.
