BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. Iranian banks granted loans totaling 10 quadrillion rials (about $239 billion) in the services sector of the country in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), Trend reports.
Data from Iran's Central Bank shows that the following loans were allocated in the services sector:
- Working capital: approximately 7.65 quadrillion rials (about $182 billion);
- Establishment of enterprises and facilities: approximately 1.72 quadrillion rials (about $40.9 billion);
- Development work: around 465 trillion rials (about $11 billion);
- Self-employment: about 112 trillion rials (about $2.66 billion);
- Purchase of personal assets: 53.2 trillion rials (about $1.26 billion);
- Purchase of housing: 23.7 trillion rials (about $564 million);
- Repair work: 8.45 trillion rials (about $201 million).
In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 23.7 quadrillion rials (about $564 billion) in various economic sectors within the first 7 months of the current Iranian year.
