Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / A consultant will be elected for developing the technological joining of the postal service to the local computer net of Azerbaijan within the framework of the project on Development of Financial services.
The Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technology Ministry reported that the results of the tender to choose a consultant will be announced by the end of September. The company-winner of the tender will study ways to join the postal departments to the local net and provide their connection. The total fee for the three-year project is $17.5mln.
Some 150 postal Baku and Sumgayit departments will render financial-bank services. Some 1,002 postal departments out of 1,006 will render basic services. Implementation of the project will be completed at the end of 2008.
