Ring the Alarm! Siren DP350 DAP Launches in Japan

( Mobile ) - Wee-woo wee-woo wee-woo! Alright, so the Siren DP350 portable music player isn't exactly the most exciting device on the market, but the Siren name is certainly unique. The tiny DP350 is the follow-up to last year's model, the Siren DP300. There have been a few upgrades, of course, but the net result is still a rather generic DAP.

In addition to its love for MP3, WAV, and OGG audio files, the Siren DP350 will also happily display MPEG-4 and WMV videos if you feel like squinting your eyes. Imagine trying to keep up with subtitles on this thing! Other features include an FM tuner (with recorder), USB host support, and up to 18 hours of battery life when restricted to audio only. That number gets bumped down to 5 hours if you do the video thing.

Measuring 73.2 x 41 x 14.6mm and weighing 46 grams, the Siren DP350 is available now in Japan. The 2GB and 4GB versions sell for $120 and $150.
