PEYK plant of the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry plans to produce flash drives, PEYK Director Siyavush Aliyev told Trend.
He said that a preliminary agreement has been reached with the Taiwanese companies.
"As production will be mutual, a joint venture will be established. Our plant's production capacity and technical capabilities allow us to produce such products. The only question is whether we need to master technologies, which will take time. It does not seem possible to predict when production will begin," Aliyev said.
Now negotiations are underway to supply test systems, which, according to Aliyev, will take about three months.
After production is launched, flash drives will be available both on the domestic market and for export.
