Activities in Iran’s Bandar Lengeh port increasing

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by about 25.7 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month of (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 166,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 6th month. So, 126,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 40,000 tons were unloaded.

About 123,000 tons of cargo were exported and 11,800 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the sixth month.

“Furthermore, 28,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit. Also, 3,230 tons of cargo were loaded and 95 tons were unloaded for cabotage during the reporting month,” the statistics said.

So, 91,800 tons of essential products, 38,200 tons construction and mining materials, 28,800 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 1,520 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 4,480 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 217 tons of small and assorted products, and 681 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
