Prayer rooms will be banned in government institutions in Kazakhstan, said Kairat Lama Sharif, Chairman of the Agency for Religious Affairs of Kazakhstan, while presenting the draft law on religious activities and religious associations at the meeting of the parliamentary committee for legislation, court and law reforms of the lower chamber of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, CA-NEWS reported.
"Religious ceremonies and ties are prohibited in government buildings and territories of government buildings (except for religious institutions), armed forces, law enforcement agencies, other services related with public security, protection of life and health of citizens," Kairat Lama Sharif said.
