Kazakhstan seeks to prove accreditation system

Kazakhstan , Astana, Sept. 16 / Trend A.Maratov /

General Director of the Kazakh National Accreditation Centre Timur Nurashev has today stated that Kazakhstan intends to join the International Accreditation Forum.

"The accession process is underway," Nurashev said at the international accreditation conference in Astana. "We will enter this well-known organization through membership in the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation".

He said the membership in these international organizations means the recognition of Kazakhstan's accreditation system in the world. However, Kazakhstan also undertakes responsibility for the quality of goods produced in the country with this membership.

Nurashev noted that the country already joined the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) in 2010.

Kazakhstan established the National Accreditation Centre in 2000 to successfully promote the country's products in the world, and most importantly, to manufacture qualitative products.

The IAF is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment in the fields of management systems, products, services, personnel and other similar programs of conformity assessment.
