Kazakh Transport and Communications Minister Berik Kamaliyev has today stated that Kazakhstan will complete reconstruction of six international auto corridors by 2015, KAZINFROM reported.
"Now, we reconstruct international transit corridors. We plan to complete reconstruction of all six international corridors by 2015," he said at the 32nd session of Intergovernmental Council of road engineers.
The Astana-Kostanay-Chelyabinsk highway will be completed by 2012, the Western Europe-Western China road - by 2013, the Aktobe-Uralsk-Samara corridor - by 2014, the Almaty-Astana-Petropavlovsk-Kurgan, Astrakhan-Atyrau-Aktau-the border of Turkmenistan and Omsk-Pavlodar-Maikapshagai highways - by 2015.
Earlier, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered Kamaliyev to activate regional and interstate cooperation on development of transport corridors especially within framework of integration agreements.
