Unknown persons committed an armed attack on police officers operating in Kazakh city of Almaty on Saturday at 9:00 a.m, the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office reported.
"As a result, one policeman was killed, another injured was taken to the hospital," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
According to the preliminary information, the criminals took policemen's weapon.
A criminal case was filed under article 96 (murder) of the Criminal Code, an investigative team was created. The operational-search measures are underway to reveal and arrest criminals.
