ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 19. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to Tajikistan on August 22-23, Trend reports.

According to the office of the president of Kazakhstan, the visit will include high-level negotiations in a narrow format and a meeting with the government delegations of the two countries.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will discuss the current state and prospects for strengthening the strategic partnership.

The sides plan to sign several bilateral documents aimed at deepening cooperation in political, trade economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have agreed to work on signing a roadmap to increase trade turnover between the countries for 2025-2027.

A corresponding agreement was reached during the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Tajikistan Commission on Economic Cooperation, chaired by the First Deputy Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Roman Sklyar and Hokim Kholiqzoda, in Dushanbe.

According to plans, the roadmap will be signed during the upcoming visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Tajikistan.
