Kazakhstan, Jordan to ink number of bilateral agreements

(gazeta.kz) - number of bilateral agreements on commercial and economic co-operation, investments and education will be inked during an official visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, to Jordan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, said Monday, November 27, at a traditional briefing in Astana, reports Trend.

"Development of a political dialogue, extension of economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations will be discussed at the forthcoming meeting," - Mr. Ashikbayev said adding that "on the eve of the presidential visit there will be the first meeting of a joint intergovernmental commission for commercial, economic, cultural, and humanitarian co-operation."

"The official contacts began during the last year visit of King Abdullah II to Kazakhstan that gave a powerful impulse to the development of the relationship at different levels between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom," - the MFA spokesperson said.

The official visit of Mr. Nazarbayev to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is planned for 29 - 30 November.
