Turkmenistan increases production of Caspian fish

Turkmenistan’s state-owned enterprise Balkanbalyk produced 2.4 percent more fish in 2017 than in 2016, and nearly twice as many produced fresh-frozen, smoked-dried, salted and other non-canned products, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.

The company’s food products are regularly supplied to the city’s trade network and the regions of the country, says the article.

This is the country’s leading enterprise that produces fish in the Caspian Sea and is engaged in the processing of fishery products.

The Fishery Development Program is in effect in Turkmenistan until 2030.

According to the program, modernization is carried out in the fishing industry, modern infrastructure is being formed.
